Sky News Westminster

Sky News commissioned Jago Design to refurbish its Westminster studio and newsroom, located opposite the House of Commons in the heart of London. The new design needed to be highly versatile, capable of supporting the demands of a fast-paced and varied broadcast schedule. It also had to reflect the minimalist design aesthetic established at the main Sky News campus in Osterley, while carefully preserving the architectural character of the Grade II listed building.

The studio design features a high-resolution LED screen backdrop, complemented by a suite of mobile furniture that can be reconfigured to support a wide range of programming, from breakfast news broadcasts to evening discussion shows.

Within the newsroom, LED-clad columns provide the flexibility to display changing graphic content while making full use of the space's depth and the iconic views across Westminster. A contemporary, minimalist approach to furniture and surface finishes creates a cohesive design language throughout the studio and newsroom, ensuring a unified visual identity across the entire environment.
