Australia’s primary public broadcaster ABC selected Jago Design from a range of international design teams to develop their multi-functional studio at their new Parramatta location. The Jago Design concept appealed to the ABC’s desire to include augmented/virtual/extended reality (AR/VR/ER) as well as rendered graphics within physical set components.
The project required close liaison with architects and building management to overcome challenges such as low ceilings and access to a public promenade, which required careful management during live broadcast.
The clean, simple, minimal approach incorporated high resolution LED screens and camera tracking which created live on camera parallax for the first time in one of our news studio designs.
