Tasked with producing a studio set that could contain YLE’s flagship morning, news and current affairs shows all to be shot on remote tracked cameras the Jago designers worked closely with the YLE technical team to create a lozenge shaped studio plan. The set formed from layered LED screens contains a standing news presentation position, a seated discussion area, a stood explainer area and a vertical format screen to be used for down the line interviews and social media. The screens provide a wrap around canvas of varying resolutions that enable the program makers to create “depthy” graphic backings and to display story relevant images in pre-determined positions within the space.
